Ultra Clean 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible

New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1966 Ford Mustang 2 Door Convertible with Signal Flare Red exterior paint and a black vinyl interior.  You’ll find a 289 cid V-8 engine under the hood with a 4BBL carburetor, and Pentonix electronic ignition with automatic transmission.  You’ll also find a freshly upgraded Autometer gauge cluster, custom racing seats, American Racing wheels and a new soft top- NOTE: The current owner has the original gauge cluster and original front bucket seats as well, which will be sold with the vehicle. See attached photos.

Fully Restored in Recent Years to Very High Levels

The current owner informs us that this 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible was purchased at an auction in Texas back in 2013 shortly after being restored to its present condition.  The current owner did add the racing seats and new Autometer gauges, but otherwise we do not have any documentation of maintenance or recent restoration prior to 2013.

What we can tell you is that this 1966 Mustang Convertible is nicely sorted throughout with only minimal levels of wear to the exterior.  The paint has a nice shine and everything aligns correctly- the chrome work and trim show a few very minor scratches but nothing at all to detract from this gorgeous muscle car.  The interior is definitely a step above the typical driver’s standard as well with well-maintained seats, carpeting and center console.  As previously mentioned, all the autometer gauges are all new so this one really doesn’t need anything to be enjoyed right away.

Additionally, this 1966 Ford Mustang Roadster has excellent performance on the open road with solid acceleration, smooth handling and sufficient stopping power.  The engine compartment is just as clean as the rest of this vehicle as well.

An Incredible Value at the Current Asking Price

Overall, this 1966 Ford Mustang 2 Door Convertible is a fantastic high end driver that can be enjoyed at shows on weekends and really shown off.  With a strong engine and great overall performance, you’d be hard pressed to find a more impressive example anywhere at the current asking price.  For more information about this vehicle, visit our Pleasanton, California showroom, give us a call at 925-238-7196, or email us at [](mailto:).  Be sure to mention Stock # P10538 as well.

Legal Disclosures: Specialty Sales Classics has advertised and sold thousands of classic cars since our founding in 1978. We strongly encourage any and all buyers who are unable to view the vehicle in-person to perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection (by an independent party of their choosing) prior to the purchase.  Given the age of many of our vehicles, it is extremely difficult to adequately describe all aspects of each vehicles condition in the limited space available and we have learned that these Pre-Purchase Inspections are helpful to all parties involved.

The information presented for this vehicle is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed as a basis of purchase.  The Buyer should make a thorough, independent inspection and investigation of the vehicle prior to purchase.

About Specialty Sales Classics – Pleasanton

OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE To be the globally acknowledged best place to buy or sell a classic, exotic or collector vehicle. To give our buyers the benefits of buring directly from the vehicle's owner while removing any and all selling-related hassle from that owner. WHY TRUST IN SPECIALTY SALES CLASSICS? Since our founding in 1978, Specialty Sales Classics has prided itself on providing exceptional customer service, loyalty, and dedication to each and every one of our clients and their vintage vehicles. In fact, we have built such a strong reputation throughout the world that we can usually sell classic, performance, vintage, or exotic vehicles very quickly. Here are a few more reasons to trust your classic to Specialty Sales Classics: To build customer relationships with professionalism, technology, industry knowledge and strong business ethics. To attract and retain the highest caliber employees possible. We handle every aspect of the consignment process for you. Everything from global advertising, to honest appraisals, to finding a buyer, is performed in-house by our vintage car experts. Our staff is here to serve you and we take that responsibility very seriously. Although we gladly assist our customers in determining a fair price for their vehicle, the final decision on the listing price is ultimately yours. Likewise, we will bring all legitimate offers to you for consideration and allow for you to decide when the price is right. Our dedicated sales staff is just as passionate about classic and performance vehicles as you are and they are going to take the time to learn every possible aspect of your car or truck. They will treat your vehicle like it was their own and that's really the secret to how we sell so many vehicles. As you probably already know, the San Francisco Bay area is a mecca for classic automobiles and that's exactly why we serve our customers out of this region. More rust-free vintage rides come out of Northern California than anywhere else in the world. The main reason you should trust Specialty Sales Classics to sell your vehicle, however, is because we love your ride just as much as you do and we have buyers all over the globe that share our passions as well. We will advertise your classic on hundreds of websites, inform our network of collectors throughout the world, and never stop working until we get your vehicle sold. That's our promise to you.
