a 1942 Indian Sport Scout. This is a genuine 1942 Indian with matched numbers. The last of the factory produced consumer grade 45s.  Engine pad shows a clean and unmolested FDB336 and frame number 642336. This Sport Scout was the 236th off the line for the limited production 1942 year. The highest known example in existence is stamped 378 so this bike is exactly 42 below it (42, the answer to meaning, the universe and life itself!). Bike has beautiful paint and shows extremely well. You might notice somethings are not truly stock. The primary cover and handgrips for example are all for pre 40 models. I have them on there because I prefer them. Everything else should be correct for the year. Sheet metal is Iron Horse Coral. I have done a tremendous amount of work to bring this bike up to a ridable and show worthy standard. This included having the oil pump and sump system completely rebuilt and hard chromed, a complete rewiring of the electrical system with a new correct cloth braided wiring harness front and back and truing the wheels to perfection. I have receipts for all service work performed by known and respected builders.

Clean and clear Indiana title in my name. Non refundable deposit of $500 due at the close of the auction by Paypal. Balance of payment will be due within 5 days by cash, check or wire transfer. Bike and title will stay in my possession until payment clears. I can assist with transportation as I know a very reputable shipper who is insured and bonded so no problems there. I don’t want to quote prices for him but typically in my experience it’s been about $650 for the CONUS. Foreign bidders please message me first. I am export friendly and am happy to ship overseas
